An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the bend out of the back straight when FOXRUSH TAKE TIME (FR), placed second, ridden by Philip Prince interfered with MAKEOFITWHATYOUWILL, unplaced, ridden by James O'Sullivan, which in turn interfered with MR WING (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Paddy Mathers. Prince was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as allowing his mount to drift left towards the rail causing interference to MAKEOFITWHATYOUWILL which in turn caused MR WING (IRE) to be tightened for room against the rail and have to be checked.
Philip Prince, the rider of FOXRUSH TAKE TIME (FR) was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from two furlongs out. Philip Prince also failed to obey the Stewards' when requested to attend the conclusion of the enquiry. After hearing evidence from the rider and the Stipendiary Steward acting as a witness, Prince was suspended for 2 days.
