D.P. McDonogh, rider of Sir Danilo (GB), trained by F.Birrane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly right handed throughout. The Stewards received a report from Mr. Hugh Hynes, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that D.A. McCormack, rider of Serval Cat (USA), weighed in at 1.3 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, cautioned him.
