On the approach to the first fence, Minella Buster (IRE), unplaced, veered right-handed, badly hampering Jigginstown King (IRE), which unseated its rider, further hampering the winner, Hold Your Fort (IRE), Pilot Show (IRE), which was later pulled up, and Braganza Bay (GB), which was later pulled up, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
