Northern Surprise unbeaten on polytrack
Oscar Dominguez illuminates Dundalk
I was looking at his price beforehand and couldn't believe he was 5/4. Obviously the punters knew something I didn't!. He surprised me. He had run nicely in his maidens but nothing like that and obviously he stepped up a good bit.

Oxx eyes step up in class for Alphonsus
He won well. He ran well here before from a wide draw. He didn't get much cover then and over-raced a bit. He settled today and quickened up well. The form of the maiden last time worked out okay so he was entitled to have a favourites chance. He's a nice horse. Seven furlongs suits him and I wouldn't be in any rush to stretch him out. He's by Invincible Spirit so there is plenty of speed there. He won't run again until the start of the Turf season. There is a nice Listed race here, the Patton Stakes, and maybe we could bring him back as he likes the surface. He seems versatile ground-wise and may go on softish turf also.”
Bishan Bedi gives O'Brien Dundalk double
He's a right little horse. He was dropping back to seven tonight. I don't know if seven or a mile is his best trip but he finished well there,. He's tough, tries hard and seems to like it here.
Berry at double with Presenting Julio
I'm delighted. He was a bit disappointing over hurdles but loves this surface. He ran well here first time and then ran better in a better race second time. He did it well tonight and Fran gave him a great ride. We'll see what comes up for him next. He'll probably make a nice summer hurdler. He's gotten a lot of confidence from running up here. He's schooled over fences and jumps great. (Owner) Alan McEvoy is from Blessington and he gave me my first ever ride in a point-to-point.

He had a mark of 58 in September and is after winning off 84 now. I think the mile-and-a-quarter suits him. He had a bit of a wind issue but seems to be able to relax and breath over this trip. Then he has the toe to get into the race. He was keen over a mile the last day. They jumped and went quick and he got lit up which didn't help his breathing.
