An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 3 furlongs out involving Trooper Bisdee (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Luke Morris, which interfered with Cinnodin (GB), placed third, ridden by Finley Marsh.
Morris was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as after his horse had stepped right-handed he failed to correct his mount in a timely manner, giving Cinnodin (GB) a slight bump taking it off its intended line.
The performance of Trooper Bisdee (IRE) which started favourite and finished last of five runners, beaten six lengths, was considered.
Sir Mark Prescott’s Bt representative confirmed the report from Luke Morris that the gelding failed to pick up.
Their explanation was noted and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Trooper Bisdee (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
