M.A. Gallagher, rider of Turn On The Tears (USA) trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran erratically, hanging left and right and resented facing the kickback
The Stewards interviewed S.M. Mooney, rider of Confident Kid (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10.3.(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his clean previous record into account cautioned him
GENERAL INFORMATION The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting: Mr. P.N. Reynolds (Chairman) Mr. N. McGrath Mr. P. Stewart Mr. F.G. Fitzsimons Mr. M.F. O'Donoghue The Stewards heard a concern from Anthony McCann, trainer, regarding the racecourse maintenance staff commencing the cleaning out of stables process while racing was in progress with a large trailer being used which in his opinion could become a safety problem should anything untoward happen. Having heard Mr. McCann's concerns, the Stewards referred the matter to the CEO for further investigation
