Surfer surges home to gain deserved win
He had a few good runs behind nice horses. Blinkers might have helped him and definitely the step up to six. It was nice for him to get his head in front,. They went past him and it looked a furlong out like he was going to fade but once Gavin got him down the rail he took off again so I think seven furlongs is probably within his range as well. We'll step up in class now. I think he's definitely at stakes level and I'd imagine we'll find a six furlong race somewhere.
Dandyville does the business in tight finish
Scurry next for Dream Today
He (Cian Macredmond) gave him a great ride and I think the ground is the key to him. He had good form on good ground around a bend in Leopardstown when second to Real Appeal who won the group race last night. He'll go straight to the Scurry Handicap (in the Curragh) now. He's a rock solid horse. We had him in Dubai but it didn't work out for him. Hopefully there is a little bit more left in him, he takes a little bit of coaxing. That's beautiful ground out there today and I have to say they've done a fabulous job, it's like a carpet and there's no jar in it or anything like that. He doesn't want heavy ground or doesn't want it rattling quick.
Little to fault in San Andreas
New Society repaying the Watsons in spades
He's becoming a bit of a stable star and has a liking for Fairyhouse,. I only bought him for a grand and he's definitely repaying us well. It's great for the boys that bought him off us since his last win. They are school teachers, plumbers and tradesmen. Unfortunately they couldn't be here today but I'd say they are going to have good craic with him all summer long. We had found a few issues with him after his couple of runs in Dundalk, with his back and stuff, but we're very happy with him now, he's rejuvenated. He's in again at Gowran on Monday and I'd say he'll rattle on there. They are all anticipating going to Galway, that's what they want to do.
Soushi gives Joseph O'Brien across the card treble
Ellaat another well backed winner
He did it very well. The ground was probably a bit soft for him the last day (8th in Cork) and caught him out a bit,. He's improving all the time. A good field of horses nearly suits him better as they go a truer gallop. We were a bit worried about the mile-four trip but he seems to handle it alright. We'll probably look for another Flat race in two or three weeks. He seems to be better fresh, he doesn't handle too many runs quickly.
Female Approach storms home to land nightcap
She was actually 2lb out of the weights and the race they put on tomorrow was a three-year-old handicap (in Limerick), but unfortunately the way the thing is set up at the moment we don't know whether we are going to get in or not as we don't get the weights on time. She is declared tomorrow and I actually thought I might even take her out today and try to run tomorrow, but I was told I probably wouldn't get away with that so we had to go here. Chris (Hayes) was kind of pretty keen on her anyway. I'd say it is unlikely she will turn out again tomorrow but you never know, we'll see. She stays well and I'd say she will stay further and we'll go for more of the same.
