The Stewards enquired into an incident on leaving the back straight involving Mulzamm, ridden by S.M. Mooney, placed fifth and Invinsible, ridden by G.P. Brouder, unplaced, where it appeared that Invinsible was tight for room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by S.M. Mooney riding carelessly and therefore to be in breach of Rule 214. Having taken his good previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended S.M. Mooney for 1 raceday
The Stewards informed James M. Barrett, trainer that Lake George, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again
