FormscanBy Mark Nunan - Jack Kennedy returns from suspension and might get straight back into the winning groove on CROKE PARK. The point-to-point winner landed a Grade 3 novice hurdle at Navan just under a year ago before being found wanting a couple of times at the highest level. He's unproven on a sound surface, so hopefully there's enough juice in the ground for him to take his chance. Gordon Elliott also has Cleatus Poolaw in here and he, too, is a winning pointer who was a useful hurdler last term. Iris Emery had jumped better when stepped up in trip at Tramore before crumpling on landing when in front two out while Sequestered was a creditable fourth at Galway last time.%0A%0A%0A

Quotes on Cleatus Poolaw (GB)
he’s a grand honest horse and probably a chaser in the making. Whatever he does this year will be a bonus. He stays well and I’d say it would be no problem for him to step right up to three miles. After Cleatus Poolaw (GB) finished 1st at Naas on Sun, 28th Jan 2024 2m 2f Maiden Hurdle Soft to Heavy

Quotes on Croke Park (IRE)
he's a lovely horse, Jack said he probably wants three miles in time. He said he didn't do a whole lot when he got there but did it well and jumped well. We probably don't have to go three miles just yet. He's a big horse and he's had two runs now, so I might even keep him for (the January Grade 1 in) Naas. I don't want to go to the well too much, I think he is a nice horse. After Croke Park (IRE) finished 1st at Navan on Sun, 19th Nov 2023 2m 4f Hurdle Soft to Heavy

Quotes on Mister Beeton (IRE)
He got a great ride off Shane, he put him asleep and cut every corner he could,. We were confident enough turning in, he was only going through the motions and once he got the gap I was confident enough. He won well in the end. He'll keep tipping away, he loves that ground. He likes a bit of space between his races so we'll pick something out in five or six weeks. After Mister Beeton (IRE) finished 1st at Punchestown on Sun, 11th Jun 2023 2m 7f Hcap Hurdle Good to Yielding

Quotes on Sequestered (IRE)
He would have been a very unlucky loser, but I suppose the loose horse also did him a little favour as he brought him out on the better ground. I had said to Jack to go wide and pick the best ground. This is a fair good horse and I did think he would win, although was worried about the gluey ground. He didn't jump early, but I told Jack to leave him asleep for as long as he could. He will be on the boat to Cheltenham in November for a graded novice. . His run behind Willie's (Mullins) High Class Hero at Listowel was a super run when Paul Townend probably just got a 'run' on Jack. He went on to win a Listed race at Limerick last week. After Sequestered (IRE) finished 1st at Galway on Sun, 29th Oct 2023 2m 4f Hurdle Heavy

Quotes on Iris Emery (FR)
It was a good performance. For a maiden, first time, she jumped very well and that brought me a lot of the way round. The second had some decent form pre-Christmas and I'd say for a small field it probably wasn't the worst maiden. They are two decent types and it's nice to get the job done with my one. Maidens first time are not normally that straightforward, even out in front on her own. If they were all like that it would be easy. After Iris Emery (FR) finished 1st at Fairyhouse on Wed, 7th Feb 2024 2m Maiden Hurdle Heavy
