FormscanBy John O'Riordan - Despite a tendency to misbehave at the start, DOLLAR VALUE is a tough, admirable performer on a going day. Trainer Tom McCourt has his dual purpose string in excellent form right now and the nine-year-old is a hard horse to peg back if getting an easy lead. A galloping flat track such as this one should really play to his strengths. Grange Walk has to be a contender on his return to fences. A decent handicapper at his best, the John Patrick Ryan-trained gelding can sometimes make mistakes at critical points in a race. Granted an error free round, the nine-year-old has every chance. Topweight The Banger Doyle shouldn't be far away having finished runner-up at Listowel last month.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards that at entry have run at least three times in steeplechasesPenalties - Winner of a steeplechase or steeplechases after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.

Quotes on The Banger Doyle (IRE)
He got his head in front at last. He’s a horse that never runs a bad race but for some reason he gets beaten. He gave an exhibition (of jumping) apart from the last. He’s still a maiden over hurdles and is rated about 20lb better off before today over hurdles so you’d imagine he should be able to win a handicap hurdle. He has lots of options and can go back on the Flat as well. After The Banger Doyle (IRE) finished 1st at Punchestown on Sat, 8th Jun 2024 2m Hcap Chase Good

Quotes on Senecia (IRE)
That was wonderful and we have him since he was a foal. As a three-year-old we failed to sell him and he became a covid carry over so today was a big day,. We reverted back to this distance, he has a good cruising speed and Philip gave him a great ride. He was near enough at the last (when Icare Desbois exited) and got there so that's the main thing. He might go to Galway now and good ground suits him. It has been bottomless during the winter and no matter where we went, there was rain coming. Vincent has five horses and we have a small operation. The competition is strong where ever you go and this is great. The last big pot I won was the Fortria Chase with Arctic Skipper. After Senecia (IRE) finished 1st at Killarney on Sun, 12th May 2024 2m 1f Hcap Hurdle Good to Yielding

Quotes on Dollar Value (USA)
He's a horse with such an engine, if you can get into his head, you've a chance. Down the hill the last time I got him rolling and I was actually sitting sweet on him then going to two out. He's always been tricky at the start and refused one day here before. I always go down to the start with him, if I wasn't there he wouldn't go at all. He's a stable stalwart and you don't want to lose horses like that. We'll see what happens with the claims. After Dollar Value (USA) finished 1st at Sligo on Thu, 8th Aug 2024 2m 1f Hurdle Soft

Quotes on Grange Walk (IRE)
I thought he was the only horse in the field capable of winning a Grade 2 and the rest were handicappers. He's a bit more than a handicapper,. He's been a bit of an unlucky sort. Liam Quinlan gave him a tip top ride. He's a brave lad over a fence. He'll go to Aintree, the owner wants to go there. He'll go to a two-mile handicap, he's entitled to go there. He's a proper two mile chaser and the blinkers probably helped a bit. After Grange Walk (IRE) finished 1st at Gowran Park on Sat, 11th Mar 2023 2m Hcap Chase Soft to Heavy

Quotes on Mr Saxobeat (IRE)
He's a lovely horse. We got him off Sean O'Keeffe's Dad and we were thrilled when we got him. We like him a lot and we would have been disappointed if he wasn't knocking on the door today. He'll probably go to the field for a bit of a rest as he's only five and I'd say he's on the go a long time, even before we got him. I think he could do with a rest. He had been going well and doing everything right. He was going well in a point-to-point (at Fairyhouse) when he fell and it looked good on the video anyway, we kind of bought him on the strength of that. The owners (the Roberto Syndicate) have had Agent Boru with me for years and he came good again this season. We were looking for a replacement for him as he's ten now and, thank God, it looks like we have a lovely replacement for him. They are a lucky bunch of fellas. After Mr Saxobeat (IRE) finished 1st at Galway on Thu, 29th Jul 2021 2m 2f Bumper Good
