J. Coen, rider of Augusta George, trained by W J Bryson, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped a hurdle on the way to the start as he couldn't pull him up. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards accepted the riders explanation and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
A novice hurdle for four years old and upwards which at entry are rated 110 or less
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 13lbs 5-y-o and up 11st 4lbs
Penalties - Performances before 11th June - for every 1lb above the rating of 100 1lb extra On or after 11th June - for each hurdle race won 7lb extra
