He has been a horse that has been a wee bit frustrating to place more than anything else. After coming back this year we just didn't get the opportunity; we wanted to step him up in trip and there was just nothing available, so it was a big step up from a mile to a mile and a half but he got it well.

The Stewards interviewed L.T. McAteer, rider of Hidden Land (USA), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation with regard to numbers and was disappointed with himself as he had worked very hard on this aspect of his riding in recent months. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found L.T. McAteer in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 1 raceday.
An extended handicap for four years old and upwards rated 45-70
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
