R.P. Whelan, rider of Sea Breezing, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was green when she hit the front
M.A. Gallagher, rider of Tommorah trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount over-raced in the early stages and didn't finish out her race as a consequence
S. Foley, rider of Dream Oasis trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green on the ground
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Arch Enemy, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed fourth, Caleta Sunrise, ridden by S.B. Kelly, placed third, Chris's Rose (GB), ridden by James J. Doyle, placed fifth and Dream Oasis, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, where it appeared Chris's Rose (GB) got tight for room approximately a furlong from the finish. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.F. Carroll stated that he could see the incident happening in front of him but he was not really involved. S.B. Kelly stated that he tried to go for a gap that wasn't really there. James J. Doyle stated that he felt pressure from behind but didn't think there was room enough for a horse to get through. S. Foley stated that his filly was quite green and drifted ever so slightly. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
