The last year has been so hard as he's had little niggly things. A couple of runs ago we thought about retiring him but he came back to form, thank goodness,. He ran a cracker the last day. All credit to Ross as he wanted to change the tactics, instead of making the running we dropped him in and he appreciated it. It's brilliant for us all, for everyone at home. That's his sixth win for us and he had three for Johnny Feane as well. He's 11-years-old but he's still got plenty of life in him.

he's exciting and I'll be hoarse now for days after that!. What can you say, he's just brilliant. Hopefully he keeps improving, I felt coming into the race he was in good form with the vibes I was getting from him. I suppose well go back to the grass, we might give him another five or six weeks. We'll step him up to two miles at some stage, I think he'll stay now that he's older and stronger. We were all away on holidays about three weeks ago and I have to thank Michael Halford and his staff for looking after him while we were away.

He's a dream of a horse. He's a fine big horse and he started off as a National Hunt horse. His first two runs were in bumpers but it didn't work out for him that way. He knows how to win and he is so consistent. We are so lucky to have him. He travels very strong all the time. He's a beautiful, strong mover of a horse and he always travels maybe even a little bit too strong. I was worried he was maybe doing a little bit too much, it was great that he had the horse to chase. To be honest we were quietly confident, he had worked well on Monday and the only thing in the back of my mind when they are running a long time is if you go once too much. I was desperately worried (at the finish), I would have gladly settled for a dead-heat!

I was standing a furlong down, where I always stand, and thought he was going to win easy passing me. He toughed it out in the end,. He pulls up in front and that's why we have the cheek-pieces on him. Michael Finneran, manager of Roscommon racecourse, is involved in him, and it's great that he's won for him tonight. He does plenty of work at Roscommon so to get a winner for him is good.

He's been a bit disappointing so it's grand to get a win out of him. He'll probably go to Galway for a mile-and-a-half and we'll see how we get on there.
