Fairyhouse Wed, 1st Jan, 2025  Sounds Victorius He’s a lovely big type, a real chasing type. He’s just really laid-back and he just idled. When the other horses came around him, it took him a while to pick up and go again. With the new configuration of hurdles here, so they don’t have to take them out because of sun, there is a lot of racing without a hurdle. Paul said he lost complete interest going down the back. It’s a better system, though, if they can have all the jumps in and I applaud Fairyhouse for that. It looks like he’s crying out for a further trip. We’ll be aiming him higher now and he might be an Albert Bartlett type. He’s out of a Presenting mare, so he’s going to stay all day and he’ll go on better ground.

Leopardstown Sat, 28th Dec, 2024  Win Some Lose Some He jumped well and got a lovely ride. . The step up in trip helped him and it’s great to get a winner. He was bred by my mother as well so it’s a great day. . The option is open to run in the Final now, so we’ll see. We’ll talk to J.P. and Frank (Berry) and see what they want to do. 

Naas Mon, 16th Dec, 2024  Baby Kate That was great - she looked beaten, but once she pulled out and got daylight, Brian said she just got her second wind and away with her. I'm very pleased with her because I think the other mare (Karoline Banbou) is good, two nice mares first and second. At this stage of the year, everything has to step up into graded company. There's not much left, but it'll be after the New Year.

Navan Sun, 17th Nov, 2024  Stuzzikini Brilliant! I tipped him up yesterday on television and I said he had a chance. I just thought he was a horse that leaves a bit for himself, he is a bit of a monkey. I thought he could have a couple of pounds up his sleeve. Gavin gave him a great ride. Danny was unfortunate, he got a fall. In fairness to him (Brouder), I’d say he has won on most of the horses he rides, so we will just keep him riding in the big chases!. To win seven Troytowns is unbelievable.

Cork Sun, 3rd Nov, 2024  Gorgeous Tom obviously he had a mishap (when falling) in Tipperary which was frustrating but he was back on track there and Darragh was brilliant on him. He came well recommended and while he wasn't a bad hurdler, we hoped he'd step forward for a fence. There is the Drinmore (novice Grade 1 at Fairyhouse, early December) for him so we'll see and enjoy today.

Clonmel Thu, 24th Oct, 2024  Win Some Lose Some Mark gave him a great ride, was happy with him, and the horse is still learning a bit although he got going in time. Nothing came to light after his run in Listowel so we were drawing a line through it and he has bounced back today, so we're delighted. He is out of a daughter of Like A Butterfly, which has been a great family for us.

Limerick Sun, 20th Oct, 2024  Ballybrittas These are very famous colours and I'm delighted to have Lar on board. He came to me last year looking for a nice winter horse so we bought this horse in Doncaster. I don't think he is a superstar but I hope he will be better over a fence. . We were opportunistic today as the race cut up significantly and we'll look for a handicap now, as I don't think he is up to novice company.

Gowran Park Fri, 4th Oct, 2024  In For The Night That was very welcome,. He was unlucky in Galway, he got hobbled over at the castle here. There was nowhere to go as they were six abreast. He finished like a rocket. He's still green but has the makings of a nice one. He wants goodish ground, but wouldn't want it any quicker than that either. They are taking the top off it. We'll see what the handicapper does now and see where we're going.
