Wexford Mon, 28th Oct, 2024  Ira Hayes We were very, very disappointed after the first day. We went to Listowel thinking he'd win and we are still not sure what went wrong. It was very, very wet that day, it was over two and a half and he was quite keen for his first day at school. He didn't run that bad and if our expectations weren't so high we wouldn't have been disappointed. You kind of lose confidence then.

Galway Sat, 26th Oct, 2024  Meehall Calum gave him a beautiful ride and claiming the 7lb off 12 stone was a big help. They went a good gallop; they were on a nice part of the track and he jumped really well. He likes the track, the trip and gets through that softer ground. He is very versatile, that's his second win of the summer and we'll look for something similar over either fences or hurdles in the next few weeks.

Tipperary Sun, 6th Oct, 2024  Hillhead Runner I suppose she got an easy enough lead in front and she stayed at it. . When I went down through the form of the race, I thought there wasn’t much pace in it and I was saying to David to jump off and make plenty of use of her. 

Galway Mon, 9th Sep, 2024  Neveradullmoment He is a different horse here, he jumped great and Mark gave him a lovely ride. Macgiloney was the horse I feared as he is a seasoned warrior, but our horse winged fences and won well. We'll hopefully find a race for him here back in October and you wouldn't rule him out for next year's Galway Plate; we'll mind him anyway. He likes that ground so might be more of a summer type.

Killarney Thu, 22nd Aug, 2024  Meehall He won this race two years ago and jumped superbly tonight. Killashee (a front-runner) took him off his feet here a month ago and he ran no race but things worked out well today and Daniel King gave him a super ride and is very capable. . He jumped from fence to fence, stays really well and will go to Listowel (September) and Galway (October) next. Conor (son) got a fall in Tramore, where he got a kick, so unfortunately was out since yesterday but is back on Saturday.

Galway Tue, 30th Jul, 2024  Gale Mahler We had to step her up in grade to see what we had and while it is very hard to judge English and Irish form especially at this time of year but she was very impressive. She was well able to hold her own though and we can now go home and start making proper plans. She doesn't mind that ground, will handle slow ground so it's onwards and upwards. She is very straightforward and genuine and while she doesn't really need cheekpieces on, I'm afraid to take them off at this stage as she hasn't put a foot wrong. She is a very good mare and we'll target some of the big races in the autumn and next spring now. It's a while since I was last in Galway but this place has been good to me and she has to be my most impressive winner here. I am mostly a flat trainer but we love to have a few jumpers as it keeps us busy during the winter and this is one we will really look forward to. You always feel vulnerable coming back over taking on Willie (Mullins) and Gordon (Elliott) and the lads, so there was a lot of satisfaction in this. I'll go home, talk to Jimmy (Fyffe owner) and I think she deserves a little break now.

Killarney Thu, 18th Jul, 2024  Redwood Queen she hopped off the ground, she is a brilliant jumper and it looked a great opportunity. She wasn't penalised in today's race for any of her previous wins but the handicapper can't do a whole lot more to us. We would have put her over fences only she is so small but we might try her on the flat, if we can get a stalls cert as she is a small bit flightly. She might run in a flat race in Galway.
