Twenty to one in the morning and 12/1 into 10/1 on track, One Cool Day (in first time blinkers) landed the gamble in style. Veteran, long absent, Sharp Risk made an excellent return and it may not have been entirely unexpected as 40/1 was availed of early in the day with at least one major firm. Course-specialist, Dr Knock (as high as 25s in the morning and 10s to 6s on course) rewarded each-way backers. The Corby Glenn disappointed but was found to be post race normal. Ruby Walsh reported that his mount was unable to handle the ground. Strand Line (ground) was a non-runner.
