Blissful has his Moment over fences
He probably likes the very heavy ground. It slows the rest of them down. He's been a very disappointing horse. We gave a lot of money for him out of Michael Stoute's. It was a pretty ordinary race he won today, and that's what he is. I'm delighted he won and maybe with a bit of luck he can win another one. We had hoped that he would make a top hurdler as he has a great make and shape to him. But he has his own ideas and he's suffered with some wind problems.
Quick double for Meade/Carberry
We always said that the minute he saw a fence he was a totally different horse. He ran in a bumper and was disappointing and in his three hurdles one was worse than the other. When we schooled him though he jumped brilliantly and Paul said he came on the bridle and was a different horse. We gave plenty of money for him as well and it's nice to see him showing something. He was getting weight and it was an ordinary race. He seems to handle that ground. We tried him on good ground in Limerick and he ran poorly. I'd say he's fair slow.
Mark Me Up leads home Rothwell 1-2
He won off a similar mark last year. I fancied him a bit at Naas the last day but the hill seemed to catch him out a bit. We said we'd come back here as he won over hurdles here before. The horses have been in really good form the last couple of weeks, and hopefully there are many more winners to come.
Say It Again records 25/1 victory
Deserved Gold not Silver for Joyce's charge
He's been unlucky a bit and deserved that. I thought he'd win over two miles but he obviously needed a trip. He's been going up a bit for being placed but hopefully he can win another one.
Rothwell completes 53/1 double
Red House Hill makes winning bumper debut
He's a chip off the old block. He's only 15'2 but he's tough like his mother and he'll make a nice hurdle horse. He's so tough and he stays really well. He won a schooling bumper at Limerick but we weren't sure how good it was. He loves that ground, and his mother loved it as well. She won a Grade 3 and was a right mare.
