An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving Clog Na Fola (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Ciaran McKee, Moonlet (BHR), placed eighth, ridden by Franny Norton, Herre Dittery (GB), unplaced, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck, and In The Genes (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Kieran O’Neill.
The interference was found to be accidental as Clog Na Fola (IRE) shifted slightly right as a hanging Moonlet (BHR) shifted left causing In The Genes (GB) to be taken off its intended line and Clutterbuck to take a check.
The winner, Cinzento (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chelmsford on 18 March 2021 where the gelding finished seventh of nine, beaten by 17 ¾ lengths.
Roger Teal’s representative’s explanation that Cinzento (IRE) benefitted from the drop in trip of 2m to 1m 3f, as well as the re-application of cheekpieces, was noted.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Henry Croft (GB), unplaced, hung badly right-handed, Ryan Tate reported that It's How We Roll (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed in the straight, Tom Queally reported that Big Jimbo (GB), placed fifth, was denied a clear run multiple times in the straight and Franny Norton reported that Moonlet (BHR), placed eighth, hung left-handed.
