Must Meet Cecil records second Claiming win for Collins
That's his grade and he's hardy enough. We weren't sure about the two and a-half miles but he stayed it there today. We gave him a bit of a chance early. Carl gave him a great ride and he's grand for that grade. He loves good ground and to make plenty of use of him, he's just a big galloper.
Weseekherthere beats them all off from the front under Kennedy
The extra trip suited her and Jack said he was going to make plenty of use of her. I thought Jack gave her a great ride, he was exceptional on her. He probably learned about her the last day. She was getting the allowances and it was a great pot. We'll keep her going now.
Final Orders cruises home for Donoghue
I suppose on paper he was supposed to be doing that, but still it was nice to do it. If there is one guarantee, he won't be running in this race next year!. I wouldn't rule it out (a stint over hurdles now), it is worth considering. He certainly doesn't want heavy winter ground. In the Galway Plate he made a mistake and the false start was the biggest thing for him. He had a lovely position the first time if he had got away. He just didn't get a nice position and made a bad mistake (before finishing unplaced). I wouldn't rule the Galway Plate out for next year, it is a difficult race with all the hustle and bustle and he is only a small, little horse. It is not an easy task. Possibly another option for him maybe a Paddy Power in Cheltenham in November.
Dartan completes Bellewstown treble under James Smith
He's such a laid-back horse, even Derek (O'Connor) said that yesterday. It doesn't take much out of him. James said it felt like he was flat out most to the way, but he finds. He is so laid-back, so it is hard to know if he is flat out or not. We will definitely consider the Petingo and the Irish Cesarewitch that he is entered in. I have to figure all that out with the weights. He would run if the ground is okay, he wouldn't want it too soft. I knew he was in great nick, he hadn't a nut left this morning. I wasn't worried about form-wise, I was a little bit worried about the trip but he stayed very well.
Lady Of The Vale back to form in Bellewstown
Harney times it just right on Applejack Poet at Bellewstown
Just about got the trip, he's not a strong stayer. Sharp track, flat track and good ground today has really helped him because he doesn't hit the line strongly in any of his races and we just held on today. Nice new syndicate in him and I'm delighted for them. It is hard to win these 80-95s unless you have a lot in hand, so to just hang on is great.
Gwan Tadgh easily justifies favouritism under McDonagh
It would appear that way, yes (good ground is key to him). When he ran last Monday (in Downpatrick), he's now out of this grade, he's out of the 95s so I was lucky to get him in today. We are very pleased with him, he's had three quick runs and I'm not sure where he will go next.
Gone For Tea wins the night cap for Fahey family
She has been consistent since the first run for us and she probably disappointed the last day even though she was third - the ground went very soft in Tramore. In fairness, Peter (Murphy, owner) gave me the filly and he said he would love to have her to come back to breed out of. I was persevering to try and win a bumper with her. She is going to be a nice filly over hurdles, she will kick on over hurdles before the ground gets too soft. I'm delighted that Aoife got to ride her, she's actually my Godchild as well as my niece. It is her second win, she had a win for her dad a couple of years back. She is a good little rider. She's not working in horses, but she looked tidy there today.
