Jumping the fifth last fence, Bolsover Bill (IRE), placed fourth, jumped left-handed hampering Lord Bryan (IRE), which was pulled up, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Dylan Kitts reported that Bolsover Bill (IRE), placed fourth, stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities and Luca Morgan reported that Hardy Boy (FR) whipped around after the starting tape released and was very reluctant to race and by the time the gelding consented to eventually jump off, it quickly became apparent that Hardy Boy (FR) had virtually lost all chance of being competitive after forfeiting approximately 50 lengths and had therefore elected to pull the gelding up.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and the Stewards were satisfied that Hardy Boy (FR) was deemed a runner.
