David Noonan, the rider of the winner, Le Musee (FR), was suspended for 2 days for using his whip after the final fence when clearly winning.
Following the race, Aidan Coleman reported that Litterale Ci (FR), which started second favourite, made a bad mistake at the seventh fence and he therefore felt it prudent to pull the mare up; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Litterale Ci (FR) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Sam Twiston-Davies reported that Included (GB), placed second, hung left-handed.
The mare was routine tested.
