Dreaper Sizing up chase career for Italy

Sizing Italy ran in two pretty good bumpers last season and he probably just didn't quite get home in the heavy ground. He may have another run over hurdles before we put him away for the summer and while he acts quite well on that good ground, we wouldn't want to risk him on anything faster at this stage of his career. He has schooled over fences and I don't want him to get too used to jumping hurdles.

I thought it was a weakish race and I fancied Battling Boru well. He may go for another handicap and then go chasing . it depends on how hard the handicapper hits him. It took me a while to get to know him but he is a fair sort of horse.

Lynch doubles up on Roving Lad

Roving Lad's owner (Dr Anthony Browne) is from Galway but is currently in Valencia, Spain. We nearly had to run him after winning at Limerick and he has won two now in a couple of days and we might leave him now for a while. I was a little bit afraid of his big weight as he's not that big.

Mullins' eyeing Galway Hurdle with Clarach

Clarach is a grand mare but I was worried about the ground for her. That's the second mares' hurdle she has won, she won one at Galway last year and we might have a try at the Galway Hurdle now. She'll probably go for a Flat race before then and we're all anxious to have a shot at the big one!
