Newcomer has Stacks of ability
No beating Heart
Wandering Heart is still a bit green but should come on a bit from that. She will step up to seven furlong next but we'll give her a month's break first.
Katla can
I didn't think she was going to get up! We were hoping there would be plenty of pace but they went quite slow early on but Joseph (O'Brien, on Empowering) did quicken the pace. We ran her over five furlongs at Ayr in June but she was short of a bit of work. She might go for a five furlong race at Tipperary on August 5 next and could go for a six furlong race at Ascot later in the year too.
Weld adds to Galway team
that was a very decent race. We'll see where he goes next but the winners' of one race over 1m6f at Galway on the Friday is on the agenda. He's a very talented horse but I thought a mile would be a bit short for him today. We're very happy with him and he'll be a dual purpose horse in time. He gives the impression that he will stay and we've schooled him over hurdles and he seems to enjoy it. We bought him at Doncaster Sales in May and also bought Sulwaan (a winner in Sligo recently) that day too.
Keanes on the scoreboard
No Trimmings has been consistent this year and she's back to her best. She'll probably get a hike in the weights now and might go for a similar race back here in the August Bank Holiday weekend. Galway is probably not her track though. That's Colin second winner and I'm delighted for him.
First winner for apprentice
Gary did everything right for a 10lb claimer. He has had a lot of second placings recently and hopefully he'll have a few more winners now and get going.
