Gold digs deep for Colgan
We were hopeful but thought the ground might be against us. It obviously rode better than we thought,. He's real genuine and very gutsy - he kept putting his head down. The only problem with him is that he's a bleeder. We're delighted with the performance and I can't believe that the first two pulled 29 lengths clear of the third. Robbie is a top class rider and gave him a terrific ride.

Novarov survives scare to score
Our hearts were in our mouths at the last,. He made a bit of a mistake and on another day he could have fallen. Luck was on our side and he stayed going. He's just a horse with endless stamina and he's by a great sire in Sholokhov. It's great for Irish breeding that Rathbarry were able to buy him back from Germany. I think he'll be a big addition to Irish National Hunt racing. They are tough and stay and that's what you want in this game. We were only hopeful more than confident and I was a bit worried that the ground might be a bit gluey on his first run after a break. He finished second to two real good horses in Whatever Jacksays and Dedigout on his last two runs so on that form he had to have a chance. I think he's a horse that could develop into Pertemps horse for Cheltenham and he has the scope to jump fences.
Cat gets the cream for Mullins
Walsh gains sweet Plate compensation
He's a very difficult horse to train but I felt he was never as fit or as well recently,. He can be very hard on himself at home but I felt he was really well coming here. He had a great run in Killarney and did a lap of the track afterwards! My only worry was whether he would hold his form as he's had a long season. Mark Walsh gave him a peach of a ride as he can be a difficult horse to ride. My son David has been riding him at home and has done a good job on him. You have to have a lot of luck in the race and he was off the bridle early. I said then any mistake and he could go back and throw the towel in as he's that kind of horse. He had a good couple of jumps early and got into it sneakily. Mark knows him very well and it was great to get him as he wouldn't have had a chance without him.
Weld strikes again as Diplomat leaves it late
I thought he had a very good chance as he's a soft ground horse and stays well,. It was a brillliant ride from Pat Smullen as the horse changed his legs a few times coming down the hill. He took his time, got his balance and came home very strongly. He may go to Naas next Monday.
Another Weld winner but not for Dermot
Weld and Smullen double up on Tandem
He's a lovely big horse and will go for a conditions race next. We'll see where he fits in,. He's a big backward horse and ran a nice race first time at Naas.
