Chiclet buoys-up Collins team for Lingfield
That's great. It's my first runner of the new season so may they all continue in the same suit!. I'm very pleased with her. I thought fitness wise she might be a bit short and I'm very happy with her. She really needs fast ground so up here suits her at this time of year. You couldn't run her on the grass the way it is at the moment.
Cappa goes one better five days on
I'm delighted. He deserved to run well after the way he ran the last night,. He seems to have plenty of boot and we might stick to six if we can get it. He could even drop to five. We'll see what's coming up in the next couple of weeks and he could go on and run on the grass.
Convergence not to be denied in Patton
It's a good start to the year for the little horse. He was the only horse I had ready for the race and it would be a shame not to have a runner,. He's a good honest horse and he came on well over the winter. He's won two Listed races now and hopefully he can grow into something like the Ballycorus. I'll keep him to seven or a mile for the moment. He's still in the Irish Guineas but that's a huge jump from here to there. We have the Jersey and races like that, there are plenty of options. I thought last year he'd want ten furlongs, but on what he showed tonight we'll keep him to seven and a mile for the moment.
On Location overcomes potential negative
It was a nice performance. I thought it was very unfortunate as she hadn't shown in season for three months and then was in season this morning,. I had to tell the stewards as she could have come and run last. She's a lovely honest filly and I think that got her through. The vets were in to see her and she's ready to be covered in a couple of days by Dawn Approach. We had a very small window of opportunity to come here.
Buddy bounces back for a win
He just hasn't fired for me this season but he's now won four for me,. We were scratching our head wondering why he hadn't won and I had told everyone to back him the last few times. It wasn't the hottest race tonight and if he wasn't able to win that we were in trouble. Daniel won on him the last time and knows him well. He's had a great start to the year. He travelled well tonight and I knew on the bend he was the winner.
Legend and Lee get there in time
They went a real good gallop. He made it here last year but they went slow then,. Rory (Cleary on Sparanai) went a nice even gallop and I wanted a lead as long as I could. I knew Rory's filly wouldn't stop and my lad was just doing enough.
Foley team finish in style
We're thinking of running him over hurdles. It's a possibility as he's a lovely big horse,.
