Plains shows he's better than a claimer
It's job done. He's better than a claimer obviously and he's after doing that well,. He won't be a horse for another six months time and that's typical of the sire's progeny. I'd be very surprised if he's not claimed. If half the people that rang us put in claims then there will be plenty in for him. He's done his job, there will be no hard feelings, and I wish him the best of luck to the next person.
Asdaa lunges late for success
It was a good strong ride from Declan McDonogh,. He'll probably go for a nursery now. He has a good attitude and is tough. I thought he'd run very well here today.
Fulminate impresses as Lyons and Keane double up
That's lovely. I thought it was a cracking ride. She missed the break, through greenness from a bad draw and he took his medicine,. He felt they went quick, it didn't look like they went quick but they definitely quickened from the bend. On another day Wayne could have rolled in on him and stopped, and she would have been unlucky, and you would have accepted it. She got the roll of the race but she had to be brave to do what she's done. All that I can think is that you can't beat pedigree. They are good honest horses and are ready to perform like that and to win is a bonus as I think there is plenty of improvement in these horses going forward, fingers crossed. With those colours you'll keep aiming high. It's all about black-type with these pedigrees and with fillies no matter whether they are these colours or our colours or whatever. When I win maidens it's all about getting black-type and then we'll just see, the horses will tell us. She's quick and you'd stick to six for the minute anyway.
It all comes together for Admirality to score on start 13
He's always shown us that at home and it was only a matter of time,. Today out of all the days I really fancied him and thankfully he's done what he's showing us. He could go again and may be that'll do him good getting his head in front. He got a bit anxious in the stalls and I was a bit further back than I wanted to be but it worked out perfect in the end.
Joseph O'Brien Racing Club off to perfect start with Focus
Thank you Kindly the message from Levins to Kirrane
I have to say fair play to my 10lb claimer Sean Kirrane. He suggested putting a visor on her. He rode her out during the week with them on and felt they brought an improvement in her,.
Sharjah still knows where the winning post is
Experiment pays a dividend for Oxx
We ran him as a bit of an experiment to see if he would get the mile-and-a-half,. He's been doing well at shorter and shows plenty of pace at home but he got the trip well and it suited him. The sire had plenty of stamina so we expected him to stay but weren't sure he would. It was a nice race to start him off at a mile-and-a-half and it worked out well. He quickened up well and loves the fast ground. He's pretty adaptable from a mile-and-a-quarter to a mile-and-a-half. It's grand, he's won three races now and has been a good horse for us. He's more settled in the hood and is not pulling. He was a bit keen at the Curragh two starts ago and we've put the hood on since then. He's doing things the right way round now. I'm not sure where he'll go yet, we'll have to see what mark he gets.
