After being interviewed and hearing evidence from the Clerk of the Scales, the trainers’ explanations that there had been a mix-up and some confusion after the riders had weighed out in close proximity to each other was accepted.
At the fourth-last fence, Equus Secretus (IRE), placed third, jumped left-handed, causing Regal Flow (GB), placed fifth, to be badly hampered, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Equus Secretus (IRE).
