Yet another promising Ballydoyle juvenile
The Highway Rat finds his niche
said Oliver. We saw this race and it worked out well. He did it very well but it remains to be seen just how solid the form is.

Heffernan doubles up on 40/1 chance Drish Hero
We ran him over a mile-and-one the last day (led until 2f out at Gowran) and it was just too much, he blew up. He didn't break as well today but Seamie got him up there and gave him a great ride. When he hit the front he plugged on and stayed there. We're very happy with him. That's definitely his trip. With the way he's bred (by the Nayef horse Valirann) we thought he'd maybe get a two mile hurdle but he's too keen. His mother won over a mile so that's why we went for the one-mile-one race last time. He just couldn't stay. He's found his place now, at the right weight and the right level.
Two wins on the board now for Smith's bargain buy
That was great and it's nice to get two on the bounce. She's still quite green and is probably a back-end horse, or even next year's horse, as she's a big filly. It's great to get another one into her. We'll see what the handicapper does with her and take it from there.
Martin's Quiet Desire gains deserved victory
I'm delighted. She was just caught on the line here one night by Chateau Musar when we looked home and hosed. Her cycle is a big problem to her. When she's in season or coming into season she can flop. We put her on to a liver tonic and I'm hoping it's made the difference, it certainly didn't do her any harm anyway. I'm so pleased for her owner Peter Cullen, who is from Clonee. He is so enthusiastic and I can't wait to see how excited he is. He has all his family around him tonight, it's a big deal for him and it's a big deal for us all. I trained her mother, Goose Island, who won seven races for us. This is the first one we've had out of her and it's a great buzz for us to get her to win.
Halford has high hopes for maiden winner Baron Zee
We've liked him all along but these maidens are so strong at the moment. He ran a lovely race in Naas and came forward in his work at home. The steady pace mightn't have really suited him tonight but he showed a lovely turn of foot, quickened up and put it to bed very quickly. He's a very straight-forward horse. He's a typical one of ours as he's still a big work in progress. I think he's only going to improve and I think he's a stakes horse.
