Grafelli turns over odds on favourite
He got through it and that was a help. He's a slow learner and there should be some improvement to come. We'll see how he gets treated in nurseries and we'll go from there.
Viztoria looks to have big future
I knew she was a very good filly. She was working at home with horses and beating the hell out of them. Horses rated 80 and 90 couldn't get near her. Ian kep telling me she's one of the best two-year-old's he has ever sat on. She won a schooling race at Dundalk for us. I wasn't sure about the slow ground with her. I don't know where I'll go now. She looks fairly classy and we'll try and get black type.
Stones hits her Peak at Naas
Marvada gets black type
I'm delighted. She's like a blue collar worker. She has worked her way up and has done it the hard way. She won her maiden at Down Royal and kept progressing. She showed a will to win in the last 50 yards. She wasn't mad about the ground, but she's nothing if not genuine and honest. We are thrilled. She deserved that. She has turned up in all the races. We knew she would get one eventually as she is not afraid of hard graft and hard work. We'll look at the Fairy Bridge Stakes and races like that. She'll get an entry for the Matron Stakes and she might take her chance if there's seven or eight runners as it's only up the road and she likes Leopardstown. It's my first Group winner since Norman Invader five years ago [Group 3 Round Tower Stakes on 2 Sep 2007 at the Curragh].
Three in a row for Custom Cut
I was worried about today as Naas is different to Cork and Down Royal. He's thriving in his racing and I wish I had a few more like him. I bought him as a lead horse!. I suppose we'll look at Galway. There's a heap of options there for him. He's in at Tipperary at the weekend as well.
Double up for Bolger and Manning
She got through the ground well and will go handicapping now.
Jeremy's Girl makes all again
When this horse won at Down Royal I had to rush back to the stable yard because we had a horse in the next race and I had left it with my wife who is seven months pregnant!. Jeremy's Girl will go to Galway. The last day it was only a mile [10th of 19 at Naas on 27 June] and she's not a speedster. She seems to stay well. Of the four mares we have covered for owners this year three went to Jeremy and one went to Amadeus Wolf. I have a two-year-old by Jeremy that I like and they like this soft ground.
