Prior to this race, Philip Kirby was asked to explain why he was running the Jupiters Way (GB) here at Ayr on going described as Good, having reported that the mare would prefer a softer surface following her run on Good, Good to Soft in places ground at Hexham on 15 April 2019.
The trainer stated that in his opinion the mare was outpaced on the Good ground going down the hill at Hexham which he felt was on the faster side of Good.
He added that the mare would be better suited by the ground which he considered to be on the easy side of Good at Ayr which is a flat galloping track.
Following the race, Mr D Johnston reported that Mandy's Quine (IRE), placed third, hung left.
