She could be good. She is a little bit highly strung but it was her first run. She comes from the family of Goldikova. She is smart and she could go anywhere. She wouldn't want soft ground.

You couldn't say it was expected with the amount of times she is after running. We were hoping for the best and she was in right auld form. She ran a good race in a maiden here a fortnight ago. It wasn't a real strong race today and we were hopeful.

Fire flops as Almadaa makes all

Rummaging and McGovern team up well

He is a smashing horse and that is his first win on grass. I would say the claim was a big help to him. He is very genuine but I just stuck cheekpieces back on him as he is getting on a bit and I thought they might sharpen him up. It was an ideal race for him with a small field. He got a lead and then it opened up for him and it was copybook stuff the way it unfolded for him. Maybe some of the others weren't at their best after running at the weekend. I'm delighted for the owners, they have stuck with him. He is still rated quite high so it's not that easy to place him but he rattles off that ground and that is a help.

Brokopondo enjoys his time in Gowran

Stepping him up in trip was a bit of a help. I kinda got it wrong the last day, I dropped him back to six but I would imagine it sharpened him up so it probably did him some bit of good. Donagh gave him an absolute peach of a ride. I'm delighted for his owner Declan Kiernan. He has persevered with this horse and he really did deserve to lead him back into the winners' enclosure. I'm delighted for him and Donagh and the horse as well. Hopefully he can back it up now.
