Long Dog barks for the punters
Ruby thought after the race that he should go up in trip and I loved the way he galloped all the way to the line. After the mistake he made, and to go up the hill the way he did, screamed that he needs a trip. I'm more than pleased with the way he responded to the mistake.
Empresario gives Smith first Festival winner
Mark gave him a great ride. His experience stood to him there. He's after running in a couple of chases and he's been very consistent. I'm delighted with that now. He was wandering around a little bit but his jumping was brilliant. It was his jumping that won it for him. He stuck at it well. It was great to get a Galway winner. I'm just trying to take it all in.
Now Or Never too good in Ballybrit
A very nice filly. We always liked her, liked her a lot. She doesn't do much at home. She's very laid-back. She has a lot of good entries - she's entered in the Moyglare and the Debutante. She couldn't have won any easier. She's very well-related. She's out of a sister to Dream Ahead and she is just short of 16 hands high. I knew it was a good sign when we bought her and the vendor wanted to stay in her. They thought she was a nice filly themselves. We are delighted to get a winner at Galway and for her to win in such style is great. The only thing I was worried about was would she handle the track running downhill but she broke very smart. She had a lovely draw and Emmet gave her a lovely ride. She's a very, very smart filly. She has a lot of class this filly and we don't know how good she is because she is so laid-back at home. She has such a great temperament. This was the certainty!
Hint Of A Tint has all Topaz answers
Wayne gave her a great ride. She was a little slowly away and he took his time. They went a good gallop and Wayne is very strong when he gets into a finish. She was tough and she was genuine today. The strong gallop suited. They stopped in front of her and she battled well at the line. Fran Berry normally rides her but unfortunately the weight was a bit low and Wayne got the chance to ride her so he's delighted. She was a good two-year-old and a good three-year-old and she lost her way a bit then but she seems to be back to herself. She's best fresh, that's her first run of the season so we took a chance at the start of the season and said we'd aim her at this. It was a good performance.
Another for Lavery as Ibergman delivers
Beau Satchel knows where the Galway line is
He's in again on Sunday and will probably run again. I was in two minds about running tonight, and because of that Declan (McDonogh) rode the other horse (Oor Jock) and I feel sorry for him missing out. Gary gave him a great spin. He got all the breaks and I told him to take his time.
Benkei sees out two-mile trip well
It's unfortunate that Pat Smullen couldn't ride him. We went for Connor and his 3lb helped.
