'New loop' well received in Ballinrobe
It was an average contest. We ran him a couple of times during the winter, but he couldn't handle heavy ground. He could have a trip to Galway now for another hurdle or a flat handicap. It's his third run in a week, but it takes at least two runs to get him ready. He's owned by two brilliant owners . Mike and Tony O'Brien . who are with me from the start and don't interfere and leave it with me. It's like a different track here. It used to be tight, but now it's a galloping track. The ground is nice. I was worried when I heard they were watering, but it's good to firm but safe ground.

He's all heart and I absolutely love him. He never travels and you're always on the end of the buckle, but he always responds and he digs it out when you ask him. Those are the types that save so much. The Lostwelton Syndicate are from Monivea, Co Galway so he'll have to run at Galway.

I'm not surprised because the way my horses have been running, anything was possible! He bled two runs ago and had run his race before his latest start when he ran away going to the front. We'll go for another handicap again.

Dancing Meadows shows plenty in Ballinrobe
This isn't a bad filly. I thought she was a certainty in her point-to-point. She went off 6/4 but bled. She was only about 70 per cent fir coming here today and I didn't think she was fit enough. She'll come on a lot for it and I think there's a fair bit of improvement in her.
