A query was raised to consider why Sara Ender was running Lord Springfield (IRE) here at Warwick on going described as Good, Good to Firm in places, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Sedgefield on 27 August 2020 on ground with the same official description.
The representative of the trainer stated that having walked the course at Sedgefield, in their opinion the ground was riding faster than officially described, but having walked the course at Warwick today they were happy for Lord Springfield (IRE) to take its chance on this occasion.
Following the race, the representative of Sara Ender reported that Lord Springfield (IRE), placed fourth, had a breathing problem.
