Sneaky Peek (GB), trained by Andrew Balding, Culture (FR), trained by George Baker, and Make Haste Slowly (GB), trained by David Elsworth, all failed to enter the Parade Ring.
Being satisfied that this was a result of the previous race being late off, in which all 3 riders were involved no further action was taken.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1½ furlongs out when Mayfair Spirit (IRE), placed second, ridden by Stevie Donohoe, interfered with Make Haste Slowly (GB), unplaced, ridden by Dane O’Neill, who in turn interfered with Busy Street (GB), unplaced, ridden by Hector Crouch.
Donohoe was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to shift right-handed when insufficiently clear causing O’Neill to be briefly crowded onto the weakening Busy Street (GB), resulting in Crouch having to take a slight check.
Approaching the final furlong, the winner, Culture (FR), shifted marginally left causing Oisin Murphy, the rider of Sneaky Peek (GB), placed eighth, to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Culture (FR).
