Debuchet shines on chase debut
You would have to be happy with that. He did it well and Danny gave him a lovely introduction into it. Fingers crossed he’ll be alright as he’s been a bit tricky with mishaps and things. The team at home and the vets and Fethard clinic have all been a great help in getting him right. That might be his job. He was hitting the bar last year but it’s hard to keep him right. We think we have him right now. He schooled around Clonmel. It was good to get that into him and he popped around there lovely.
Witness back in Fashion at Fairyhouse
It’s nice to do it at the local track. He minded himself last week and came out of the race well. There could be a race for him here again on New Years Day. I ride him myself at home most of the time and he’s very straight forward. He’s a pleasure to ride, a real gentleman. He’d no problem this year at all. Usually he gets some sort of niggle but everything was very straight forward. You don’t know if they still have the appetite still at his age, and we might get another one out of him.
Midway hangs on for game win
It was a very long last furlong! He stays, he loves that soft ground, he jumped well and he gave him a great ride too. I suppose he might run again around Christmas. I don’t think three miles would be a problem to him. When he went to Cork the last time the ground was too quick and also it was a bit soon after Galway. . He’ll be a nice chaser next year and is a nice horse.

Dramatic finish as Larquebuse and Lunch share spoils
She’s an honest mare and she wants three miles. She’s won a bumper and maiden hurdle now so we won’t complain.
