He's always worked well but didn't run last year because he was so big. We just gave him time. He was about to run and didn't scope well but it's all stood to him. He's very professional and straightforward; a typical Big Bad Bob. We'll probably find a conditions race for him.
Roca Rojo lands an early-price gamble
She's a decent filly and is a half-sister to Roca Tumu [won Britannia Handicap for Joanna Morgan at Royal Ascot in 2013]. She came out of Joanna's and she did a lot of the work with her. I only got her at the end of February. She worked one day with Bubbly Bellini at Leopardstown and we knew we had a good one. She has a little hotness which is why we put the hood on her, and she was very green and novicey up the straight. She did it easy. I don't know where we'll go next but I'd like to get some black type with her.
Bertie lands spoils for Anamoine double
How he's won over six furlongs I'll never know! Colin said he got there and then idled. He's won like a nice horse, and hopefully will get a bit further. The fact that he won over six furlongs had us confused.
Lyons/Keane double up with Sacrificial
You can see by the size of him that weight was not going to stop him. He's still not the finished article but has turned a big corner since being gelded. He's improved and you would have to be happy with the way he's going this year since the operation. Hopefully he can go a tad higher, and after that you'd like to win a Premier Handicap. We'll take it stage by stage.
Water Sprite powers home
I thought Wayne was very good on her. He put her to sleep as we had the fear that she wouldn't stay. She certainly looked like she stayed there, and she could come back here in July.
