Solo Performer does it his way
The jockey was good again. We said before that he would try to stay on the tracks for better ground and it paid off. He did exactly what he had planned before he went out. Solo Performer has been a great servant and we'll try and find one somewhere else for him.
Courage turned over at short odds
Davy came on top of us as much as the other way around so hopefully she keeps it. The plan was to jump out and go a good gallop and use her experience. That's why we had Paul up. Andrew Ring has been riding her and doing well on her. If she goes back to a handicap he'll ride her again, but with making the running myself and the owners thought Paul had plenty of experience. The race in Listowel was a mess [fifth on June 3]. Everywhere she went she got into trouble. The winner got a bit of a freebie in front and all the fancied horse ran badly. She came out of that well so we decided to take our chance here.
Operation boosts Cara's Oscar
I'm delighted with that. He got a little wind job and it seems to have turned him inside out. His wind just seemed to be catching him. I was a little worried about the ground as it was on the soft side.
Welcome winner for trainer Duffy
I had a few winners years ago. They are very hard to get. John Kiely is a neighbour of mine and a best friend forever.
