Approaching the last flight of hurdles, the winner Call Me Tara (GB), lugged right-handed before the rider quickly pulled his whip through to correct the mare, carrying Mulberry Hill (IRE) off its intended line, before a short distance later Mulberry Hill (IRE) veered sharply right-handed and ran out through the hurdle wing, unseating its rider but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Call Me Tara (GB).
The performance of Walk Of No Shame (IRE), which started second favourite, and finished second of four runners, beaten 40 lengths, was considered.
The representative of Jonjo O’Neill could offer no explanation for the mare’s performance on this occasion.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post race examination of Walk Of No Shame (IRE), failed to reveal any abnormalities.
