The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Robert Tyner, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Irish Impulse, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Robert Tyner stated that his charge was unsuited by the tight track at Tramore on chase debut and never got into the race. He further added that the application of the tongue tie may have helped. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report
S. Fitzgerald, rider of Zolpharine, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight
S. O'Callaghan, rider of Rock On Pedro, trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered by the unseated rider coming down the hill
K.M. Donoghue, rider of Le Grand Vert (FR), trained by J.P.Dempsey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled and he was unseated, independently of any other horse. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
