Harrington quickly doubles-up with Millisle
They're flying and long may it last. Jessie liked her. Jessie and Shane have kept saying that there are a load of fillies that have been working well and it's trying to find slots for them all. Obviously it's not easy coming here to run without experience but as you can see she's very straight forward. She bounced, travelled and finished it out well. She's obviously pacey, she's quick and it's a good start. I'm not sure where the boss will go with her now but she has been quick at home and does everything well. She's very relaxed and settled, she's another nice filly. For a period of time we wondered whether we were in trouble because we thought they can't all be good but as it's turning out it looks like a lot of them are quite good. They seem to be a very good bunch and there are a couple to run in the next couple of weeks that will hold their own as well.
Stanhope & True Blue Moon in dead-heat thriller
They are in great form. I said to Colin that I thought the stumble had cost us the race not realising we'd actually won it still!. I'm delighted to get another winner. This horse has had a few little problems. We've changed his training a little bit and he ran a blinder the last day. The way Twenty Minutes ran up the Curragh I thought this would be banker of the week but then I was afraid we had used up all our luck yesterday. When he fell out of the stalls I said we'd definitely used up all our luck but credit to Colin he gave him an absolute peach of a ride and we're getting used to these horses coming from last to first now. I've never ran him over further than five and six but I might be tempted to go to Galway for a little handicap over seven. Then we could maybe get him ready for a premier handicap on Champions Weekend over six. We'll see as we have plenty of options.
Tritonix gets photo verdict this time
I thought it was Ballinrobe all over again!. She deserved that. I nearly wasn't going to run because at the entry stage it looked a good maiden and I thought Peregrine Run might run. I'm delighted with that. She idled a bit but I suppose he had to go on with her. She could well go to Galway for something. There are a few races there for her.
Well-backed Rose finally blooms
She nearly has us broke at this stage because we've backed her a few times!. All she wants is a trip, she wants two miles actually. She just keeps going and going. We were putting her down as being un-genuine but it might be that she just needs the trip. She'll probably continue on at a distance. Even though she's very small we have schooled her and it's quite possible that she'll run over hurdles early on if she doesn't get sold. We'll try and get a few pounds back with her now if we can.
Lady lunges late to land Fillies Handicap
It was very tight. I thought she was nabbed. I think she was headed and came back again,. Luckily enough they did a great job watering the track and she doesn't want it too quick, I'd say the softer the better. She's a tough filly and the nice handy weight there helped. Niall is riding with great confidence. He gave her a great confident ride and said he felt all the way that once he got the run he had plenty there. She made it difficult in Gowran as she hangs left. When she won first it suited as they came up the stand's side but going left-handed would definitely suit her better. We'll tip away and keep her going as long as she's well.
Cay completes 101/1 double for in-form Cromwell
I knew she wasn't useless but she disappointed the last day and I was scratching my head,. We tried the visor on her and it obviously woke her up. They went very hard and she was flat to the boards everywhere. She won well enough and I suppose the handicapper will probably give her a nice enough rise. She's still going to be in that low grade and we'll look for something similar again.
