Friendless Soul wins on debut
He jumped very well and obviously stays well. That ground is very testing after the coursing meeting with people walking on it, and is a lot more testing than people might think. It's very tacky. He could easily go out in trip. We could have run him in a bumper but decided to go straight over hurdles, and he will go over fences next season.
Sprite beats Hope as Cooper doubles-up
She's not a bad little mare and had a good run the last day at Punchestown. I think she will be better on better ground.
Arkwrisht & Walsh spring surprise in feature
He didn't jump great but he stays all day and is improving with every run. He could go for the Purcell Hurdle at Thurles or maybe the Albert Barlett. It would be an extra quarter mile but that was like three miles on the ground. I’m very happy with him. I was very disappointed with Stone Hard. He had worked well during the week but its back to the drawing board with him.
Trova avoids carnage to win again
She didn't travel as well today but the ground was more tacky. We were lucky but over the course of a year some go with you and some go the other way. She could run next in a chase possibly at Downpatrick. She is owned and bred by Lar Skelly and his wife Kitty who are from the The Ward, which is between Finglas and Ashbourne.
Bright has Grand Annual option
That was grand to get his head in front, although Bryan said he hated the tacky ground. We’ll keep him entered up in those conditions races, and it’s possible he could go for something like the Grand Annual at Cheltenham. There will be a fast pace and we could drop him in.
Tyner & Enright have better luck with Vic
He didn't jump great in Gowran and we have given him plenty of schooling since. He handles that ground well. There’s a novice handicap at Naas in just over a fortnight. We'll see how he is and he can mix it between hurdles and fences.
Hedgeinator makes all to win the last
He's still very babyish but I'm happy with that, and he'll go for a winners-of-one at Downpatrick next.
