Hedgeinator makes all to win the last The Alan Fleming trained Hedgeinator followed-up on his point-to-point win at Tinahely last month, as he made all to win the last at Clonmel, the Micro Dog ID Maiden Hunters Chase. Available at 3/1 in a place this morning, he opened on-course at 15/8, touching 2's, before going off the 15/8 second favourite in a first time tongue strap. Sent straight to the front by Steven Clements his task was made easier at the fifth as the 6/5 favourite Strangford Lough unseated Nina Carberry. He looked set for an easy win approaching the last but a mistake there gave Gullivar another chance, and the winner had to be ridden on the run-in to see off that rival by two and a half lengths. Gullivar was returned at 16/1 under Jamie Codd for John Clifford, while Tulpar completed the placings a further eight and a half lengths back at 25/1. Alan Fleming, who trains the winner for Barry Connell, said afterwards: "He's still very babyish but I'm happy with that, and he'll go for a winners-of-one at Downpatrick next."
