R.C. Colgan, rider of Sweet Shock (GER) trained by Michael O'Hare, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame. The Stewards enquired into the fall of Compton Court (GB), ridden by P.T. Enright, just past the stands with a circuit remaining. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and also from B.J.Cooper, rider of Kostar and J.L.Cullen, rider of Wrong Way Corrigan. Having considered the evidence and viewed a recording of the race, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental and took no further action.
