Shajak easily opens his account over hurdles at Limerick
He jumped great and I'm delighted with that. It wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world if he turned up in the amateur (Connacht Hotel) handicap at Galway on Monday. He is entered in that but isn't in the winners' hurdle. He'd have a big weight but Harry (Swan) or Josh (Williamson) could claim off him.
Hard Rain wins on second start for Padraig Butler
McManus and Walsh combine for Limerick double
he travelled lovely, the ease in the ground and the extra couple of furlongs helped. He is a little bit keen and if he gets racing early he doesn't get home sometimes so Mark took his time and left him creep away. He has had little issues so we try to mind him; we concentrate on horses like him and it works out. We'll mix between hurdles and fences now and see whatever suitable races come up.
Kennedy Walks the Walk at Limerick
It was a low grade race but he is honest and runs his race every day. He could end up in Perth next week. Finola is local but is living in Straffan and herself and her husband Ian are great supporters of the yard and are also involved in the Go Go Syndicate.

Fill The Tank popular Limerick winner for Aengus King
Gavin (Brouder) was booked to ride but had an earlier fall so it was only by chance that Cian rode him and he was unbelievable and took great instruction. I told him to be up with the pace but to keep a hold of him. He is a class act and is a very good rider. We had a lot of trouble with him (Fill The Tank) in the last 12 months but did a lot of flat work and he is only really enjoying himself now. He has had lots of problems with his back. I had loads of people looking at him after he won his point-to-point first-time out but he had a wind problem and that's why he wasn't sold.
Polly's Fortune impresses in Limerick bumper rout
At the start nobody wanted to make the running so the plan wasn't to make the running but we were gifted an early lead. She had a very good run here last October and while she wasn't herself in Fairyhouse, we gave her a break since and she has strengthened up. She probably isn't a heavy ground filly but that ground suited her well. I'd imagine she'll improve and is versatile distance-wise and could go hurdling now . It is great for David Fenton who bred her and pre-trains horses for the syndicate and is an uncle of James Fenton who has been involved in over 50 winners, through syndicates, in the yard. James is a huge addition, he runs a tight ship with syndicates and keeps getting me winners!
