Walking The Walk completed a double on the night for trainer Gordon Elliott when taking Division l of the Racing Again October 21st Handicap Hurdle at Limerick.

Jack Kennedy gave the eight-year-old gelding a supremely confident ride, finding plenty of cover in an effort not to arrive there too soon. An infrequent winner, the Imperial Monarch gelding has been placed on numerous occasions.

Kennedy had the Mrs Finola Murphy owned winner well positioned on the heels of the leaders turning into the straight, before arriving swinging off the bridle on the run to the second last.

Taking up the running soon after, the Dingle man quickly skipped clear of nearest pursuer Ranger Billy to run out a comfortable winner.

Gordon Elliott said: "It was a low grade race but he is honest and runs his race every day. He could end up in Perth next week.

"Finola is local but is living in Straffan and herself and her husband Ian are great supporters of the yard and are also involved in the Go Go Syndicate."
