Aingeal makes all in the opener at Leopardstown
Ridge & Pythion can't be split in mile maiden
I can't ever remember having a dead-heat before, maybe as a jockey, but I can't remember one as a trainer,. He's a lovely horse that idled in front. I think he's going to go on to do better things, possibly a bit of company would have been a big help. We'll step up now to, definitely listed and maybe group company, and see if we are competitive there and I believe he will be. He's a very placid, beautiful, sound, correct horse in every way so I don't see any reason not to step up now. We nothing particularly planned. We looked at all the races but I didn't bother putting him in any of the Group 1s or anything yet. He might be sold as he's an owner/breeder but if I can get him excited enough we might get to keep him too. He's a good horse, it's not just lucky or anything, he's a good horse.
Skitter too good for Silver Flash rivals
They say you should never avoid one! Obviously I was very worried taking on Goddess but I was very keen to try her over seven furlongs,. In her homework I've lesser horses that might take her off the bridle but she's quite relentless and she's full of heart. As I said the last day you'd be very proud of her. As for plans we don't want to over-race her now because she keeps improving. She's in the Debutante, she's in the Moyglare and Ronan reckons a mile won't be a problem so we might have a filly for the Guineas trials next year. But with a wet spring who knows. It's a great day. If you told me this morning I had a winner today I thought I was going to the win the claimer. I was sulking after the claimer but God I feel good now.
Anthony impresses in the Tyros
You'd be delighted with that. We always thought he was a horse that was going to get a mile well, and he did in Killarney, and when you see him doing that he's obviously a smart colt,. I didn't see Ryan as he was gone when I got down but he said to the lads that he felt like a very nice horse. We were happy to make it if we had to. It was decisive enough in the end. We thought that he would stay very well but looking at him there he doesn't have to go back to a mile. We were very happy and I'd say he'll probably go for something like the Futurity and then the National Stakes. I'm sure there will be plenty of them have to go to a mile but looking at him there today you wouldn't say he'd have to. He got it very well in Killarney.
Orr times it well on Innamorare
Another dead-heat as Cimeara & Sizzling share the spoils
That's her first stakes win but she's been placed a lot of times. She could go to Goodwood for the fillies race or Doncaster for the staying race for fillies. You go to Goodwood and I'll go to Doncaster.
Casey off the mark as Orr doubles-up
That's my first winner, he was my father's last and it's at the track he gained all his notoriety so it's kind of fitting!. I only have five riding out. It's a bit of a struggle but sure one good day will make up for the many bad ones. He's in Galway next Wednesday in a two-mile one and my plan was to probably go for the big two-mile six handicap hurdle on the Saturday but we'll see.
