Smooth debut win for Silky
she's very big so we took our time with her and we were also waiting to get good ground - hopefully it's not the only time of year we'll get it. It's very hard for a horse to win first-time out in a place like Clonmel and she also 'jumped' a bit slow but she'll go for Group races over a mile and a half now and the likes of the Noblesse and Give Thanks are possibilities.
First-time blinkers work for Weld winner
that was a good battling performance but the strength of the jockey was required! He (the horse) has been consistent and will slip back into handicap company now. He'll get a mile and a half and could possibly be one to go over hurdles and while 'he is what he is', he's now gone and won for us so we're happy!
Stephen the Hero at Clonmel
The 'Devil off the mark for Keanes
he eventually got his head in front but thank God the ground came right for him in the last week!
Gardner scores for Meade and Condon
that was great! I was worried the ground might have been too quick, beforehand but in actual fact he bounced off it and loved it. He jumped much better today and the trip and ground suited him. He might go for a two miles maiden on the Flat now if the ground is good.
Dream holiday winner for Byrne
we weren't surprised really because all she wanted was better ground. We can only run her once a month as she's a typical filly!
Late Night winner for Jiggens/Town(end)!
she was lame after Leopardstown so we gave her a rest after that and she runs well fresh and jumps for fun.
