He switched off well today, jumped well and when he switched off he is a different horse. Some days he is keen other days he isn't. I thought this race was a bit stronger than the one he won at Killarney last August and the nicer ground helped. I walked the track beforehand and thought there was a strip of ground on the inner which was quicker. He could go for a chase soon but we might wait to hopefully get one more hurdle out of him. The Stewards reviewed an incident after jumping the second last involving The Big Chap, ridden by K.C. Sexton, Yulong Voice (GB), ridden by S. Fitzgerald, and Inforapenny, ridden by R.A. Doyle where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Grozni (FR), trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
D.E. Mullins, rider of Rotten Row trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't come down the hill the second time.
